Limited To Pretense Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Limited To Pretense

Assuming the bearer,
Delivering a message.
Is personally involved,
In creating it with the sender.
Cloaking a meant revenge.
As if plotting an agenda.

Well...
The agenda,
If one to suspect...
Had been warned against a threat.
Having nothing to do,
With ego.
Its presence.
And the keeping of effective ignorance.

The message was sent in the hope,
It would be given attention.
With the giving of time,
To prepare for a serious event.
Anyone with common sense sent evidence,
Would not think it to limit...
To pettiness, pretense and arrogant stupidity!
