Little Mermaid
Walking up the long beach all alone,
I heard a faint echoing voice
Of a little mermaid
From the sand dunes!
It must have been from the deep sea,
From a fisher’s net;
The noise of cracking waves disturbed me;
I was not sure
If it was a call for me
And if she needed me!
