Live, Let Die(Lyrics) Poem by Amy Fifita

Live, Let Die(Lyrics)

Rating: 1.5

How can you live your perfect lives?
As others with no shelters strive.
When we have so much; they have none,
As they suffer from the sun.
You eat your food with no haste,
And they’d give any thing for a taste.
Why sit and watch for them to die?
While you shake your head and sigh.

Chorus
When you sleep in the warm depth of your bed,
You have a soft pillow to rest your head.
Just one person can make a change,
And yet you find charity very strange.
Live your life is what you say,
And yet they could die any day.
When you wake at morn, you tie your tie,
And you can live and they can die.

The world we live in is far from pure,
But chaos and sorrow I do assure.
And when we hear their distant cries,
We leave them there for them to die.
When they are struggling to their feet,
We find happiness for us to meet.
When they fall back down to the ground,
We are laughing with great sound.

Chorus
We stay distracted by our lives,
But we were the ones that cast the knives
Just one person can make a change,
And yet you find charity very strange.
Live your life is what you say,
And yet they could die any day
They’ll be fine, this, you lie,
And you can live and they can die.

When will we do for them what’s right?
To help them endure horror’s fatal fight.
Why should they even have to suffer this?
When we were the ones that sent the deadly kiss.
And yet we know that life’s unfair,
But they have no one for burdens to share.
It’s getting heavy on their backs,
As we see their world begins crack.
(Bridge)
It is totally preventable,
But because of your greed,
They don’t have what they need.
Totally preventable,
For them to suffer and die,
It was extremely avoidable,
For them to watch night’s sky,
Cold is the ground where they lie,
Extremely avoidable.
But you cause their demise.
Preventable,
To stop their open mouths,
As others over sell.
It was totally preventable.
