Live Your Dream Poem by Kasia Fedyk

Live Your Dream

Rating: 0.5

Give them something they want! the man that calls himself the critic, shouts, his expression meaningless,
no emotion is a part of him, he's got poker face,
his eyes set on the piece of paper put so neatly on the desk, he rocks on a chair, pencil in his mouth, but his eyes, oh, his eyes they're cold like ice, his body language speaks a million words, you could write a whole story about it,
he is there for one thing, one thing only, to find gold in many he sees, the man is to blind to see the gold in a man so easy to reject,
the one on stage, his amber eyes on fire, you can see the glow, creating what looks like a halo above him,
he stands at the edge of the stage, the edge of what no longer is a dream, can I tell you what he is feeling.
Yet again, crushed down, stepped on, I'm just an observer but
I want to scream back at this guy the one with the ice in his eyes, what is it worth, I choke, holding back a clump in my throat.
Ok, deep breath, I have to hold back, every once of my energy is used just to keep my composure, the man with the flame in his eyes put everything in this play, his whole life, his whole self, everything he's got, its his dream,
he's just standing there, standing there with his heart on his sleeve, he feels everything you could imagine, its his 10th try to bring something new into the theater, no ones sees it, they all want the same thing, give them something they want! But
what do they want? the same wheel turning the same way, in the same constant motion,
how many times can they rip a man apart.
Live your dream, no man has the power to crash you down.
