Living On Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Living On

On a fine sunny day,
You drifted away,
I knew that I'd see you no more,
My heart bled for you,
My day shattered too,
I felt helpless,
I needed you more.
Like a flower you died,
I cried and I cried,
There was nothing,
I could, do or say,
I wanted you back,
As a matter of fact,
I long for you every day.
Your memory is mine,
I'll try and I'll try,
To hold on in this world without you,
Memories are good,
For I know that I should,
Live with your memory for sure.
