Loneliness. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Loneliness.

I can see light in darkness when darkness invades hearts.
I can see love in blindness when blindness kills larks.
I can hear hope call when despair hurries men to downfall.
I can hear hope sing when songs are no longer sung.
I can smell the scent of roses in the palms of prisoners.
I can smell the odor of happiness in the tears of the homeless.
I can reach the shores of far off lands in the nearby dark forlorn sands.
I can touch the heart of the deaf with the melodies of self love.
I can taste the flavor of the human genius in his worldliness.
I can sense the Savior's greatness in his detached holiness.
I can only hope you can get the scope of my loneliness.
