Lonely Poem by David Harris

Lonely

Rating: 5.0

I am lonely
very, very lonely
as I sit here every night.
My heart has passed
the impossible dream
and waits as the darkness calls.

I am lonely
very, very lonely
as I sit here every night.
No one to comfort me
in the wee small hours
before night turns into day.

I am lonely
very, very lonely
as I sit here every night.
Watching the lights go out
as every sleep head
against a pillow falls.

Leaving me lonely
very, very lonely
as my companion of darkness
every night comes to call.
