Lonesomely, From A Sparrows Nest Poem by Jacob Nambe

Lonesomely, From A Sparrows Nest

Where are the birds at least
Some sound, though inanimate i seek
This silence is deafening!
And the memories slowly killing me
With whoever a feud now engage, i would with glee

No much good did the folks, but for younder solo days no thought apportioned..
A flash or stench should a thing of sort bear
As warning, for even the mightiest, its blow dread
Over-powering my macho, am becoming human
Strange liquid on my cheeks, and a constant prick in my chest

If a rib is all it takes, lord i'd fare well with just two
For the sleep, every night would do
Finally the birds..!
Forming perfect matches for their pairs
With no reverence for the overseer,
They flutter by without a care

At the sky i stare for hours unend
Should a star shoot by, not me would be to tell
Now the sun too bids adeui
I'd follow him home, but i cant into the horizon fit
All the way, all alone i find my way back

As i lay, the sleep lord i pray to double
That if, and if i wake, in response to a hello should it be
And if after the census my cage looses no bone,
I'd know, for strongly indeed do i believe
That You intend this way, not to be the way, anyone should be.
