This Abdim's stork's a greeter who
To African Journey welcomes,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
Visiting human manysomes.
At times I'm perched up in a tree,
Other times I'm on a fence post.
Come 'round the bend and there I be,
Doing duty as feathered host.
I be a big bird standing tall,
Couple of feet from beak to feet,
Making an impression on all
The journeyers that I do greet.
It is very likely that I
Will greet you when you journey by.
