Long Live The King - A Tribute To Mr. Elvis Presley Poem by Ellonah Varela

Long Live The King - A Tribute To Mr. Elvis Presley

Rating: 4.0

At this young an age I set off to find,
A meaning so well defined,
By a song, a melody of a love in mind,
With a passion, untamed and wild.

Engraved in the hearts of so many,
Alone, your image became an icon to see.
Revolve did the world within the power of your beauty,
Admired and loved as what you were destined to be.
Ethos was what you are, a trait so loved completely.
Those piercing eyes of glassy hue,
Those broad shoulders sturdy and true,
Your moves were a legend through and through,
You sing a song and we swoon over you.
Forever will your memory bound,
Songs of love that ever resound,
Your rock'n way will keep on rollin' round and round.

This poem I made for you alone,
With your name I made this poem's bone,
We may have lived in different eras of our own,
I still believe you the greatest music icon we'd ever known.

Very nice. I remember Elvis very well. I still sing some of his songs to my grandchildren.
