Secretly Loving You Poem by Ellonah Varela

Secretly Loving You

Rating: 4.8

Just let me sit here,
Stare at you from somewhere,
Let my heart beat without a care,
With all the love that I can't share.

All day I wonder,
In a faraway land I'll wander,
And its you I see in there,
I will give you all the love that I could muster.

In the midst of the night I awoke,
With my own sweat I soaked,
You hunt my dreams and feelings are evoked,
I laugh and cry, mad because it was only a joke.

Relentlessly, I watch you again,
I wonder why my heart was taken,
I'm so lost I don't know where to begin,
A madness this strong can't be lessened.

Unfair is this maybe,
That I love someone who can't return his love to me,
But there's only one thing I see,
I will be whatever you want me to be.

Say I'm crazy,
Desperate maybe,
But I love you and that's all that I can see,
In my dreams I'll kiss you tenderly.

A beautiful depiction of a secret love that is not noticed and reciprocated. It's a pity for one to be in such situation especially when one couldn't help feeling that way. Well, love is a spiritual experience that affects one profoundly, and one does not consciously choose whom to fall for. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing.

Love's no love that's hidden... We've got to express it. You write well my friend
