Longing - Poem by Semeen Sultan

Where the air tastes like fine wine
Heady crisp and clean
Fragrant with crushed pine
Where lush velvet softly gives beneath my feet
Where leaves of see-through green enfold me
Where silver ripples dancing on the surface of a coiling stream
Play hide and seek with the speckled treasures beneath
Where the sky at times fashionably turquoise
At times sombre gun metal grey
At times frothy with whipped cream shapes
Is my shelter
Where my heart finds peace
Where my soul has a resting place
Where I long to be
Take me take me take me.
