Look Up Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Look Up

No one can look up.
If they are looking down.
Hoping on the ground they'll find,
What they're missing to be found.
With it hoped a kept faith validated,
Bakes that cake they crave.
Look up!
Look up!
Look up!
Look up!
And,
Open wide those eyes.
Done to do it and to realize,
What is wanted wished...
Is not handed to quickly get.
Look up!
Look up!
Believe in yourself and look up!
Look up!
Look up!
Believe in yourself and look up!

No one can look up.
If they are looking down.
While believing staying humble,
Replaces fears and risks to take.
Look up!
Look up!
Wipe those tears and fears to look up!
Look up!
Look up!
Believe in yourself and look up!

Face your fears to face.
And look up!
Just look up!
And...
Eliminate them to be chased.
And look up.
With a kept faith.
Not to debate or decay.

No one wanting what is wished,
Will look down.
But up.
And...
No one with taste that is craved.
Will look down.
But up.
And...
No one with a faith to claim,
Will look down.
But up.
And...
No matter what is their way,
Will look down.
But up.

Open wide those eyes.
Done to do.
And realize,
Nothing wanted that is wished...
Will not be handed,
To quickly get.
So look up!
And not down.
So look up!
Look up!
Look up!
