Looking At Clouds Upside Down Poem by Adrian Antique

Looking At Clouds Upside Down

window sunlight and smoke-colored tiles …
steady blues and great floating whites for miles -
a fairy world of cotton blankets soft and dear
funny moments framed in freedom painting smiles.

a very different sight of heaven from down here
warming broken hearts, brushing away each strand and tear
faces snuggled on faraway pillows on a field of sand -
I've learned to look all around without a pinch of fear.

slow ripples of loving memories etched on a ceiling pond -
quiet minutes of togetherness in the furrows of God's hand,
sitting on a wooden bench with our tale so timeless,
kisses with eyes closed, fingers intertwined in a timeless bond.

all of these, like a collage of infinite embraces …
pictures that flow and glow on a vertical ground of fantastic guesses,
shall form tiny castles in the seashores of my mind
but more so to remind that though the wind is dark, my sky is blest.

some bright mornings and late afternoons, I try to find
my glee among the curly visions that help me to bind
so many dreams half-forgotten with footprints I can remember
though upside down, they turn to promises that rewind.

love then is lying down on this little garden in a corner -
watching a train of birds, waiting for the stars to shower …
every second is a gust of creation one after another …
bulky figures endlessly changing into flashes of wonder.
