Looking Glass Poem by Rachel Butler

Looking Glass

Rating: 5.0

(Dedicated to the unknown gardener)

You do not perceive self,
I, your reflection will,
free from ostentation,
reveal you.

Abide true by fortitude,
in thought and deed
as chastity is not your cup.

just like the mirror that shows exactly how you appear, your inner self will reveal your true you, when you seek yourself. I don't know if there is any other meaning to these beautiful lines.. but the strength in some of those precious words will strike us stark. beautiful
