Looking Upon The Lake Poem by Dorsey Baker

Looking Upon The Lake

Night is falling upon the lake
Frogs croaking sound they make
Birds we watched flying
Quickly disappear
As darkness draws near
The fast moving water
Right before our eyes
Becomes silent and still
And then the fishermen will
Into deep darkness fade
Along with
The catches of fish
That they have made

Crowd the skies
Millions of
Bugs and flies
And the wind comes blowing
Just before it dies
