Lord Help Me Uphold

Lord help me uphold the way of the Cross
In thought...in every word...and in deed
Help me to look beyond my own things
Unto those who are suffering and in need
To live a life that is holy and just
And just as refreshing each day
To give a word of comfort and blessing
To those struggling along life's way

Living with a peace and a joy within
That is absolutely astounding
With a quiet response to any admonition
That is meant for my well being
To honor You Lord with a greatful heart
That knows...well knows... its Maker
Having full dependence and confidence
In that You Lord are the Creator

What a floodgate of grace is available
For every repentant heart
For You love nothing better Lord than anything else
To give each sinner a brand new start
Your Spirit is hovering over the whole wide world
As to which soul is seeking You today
Then coming alongside to guide that recipient
To show them the Heavenly way

There's life in a look at the Crucified One
The One and only way of Salvation
Who can give you a Spiritual breath of fresh air
When repentance is your heart's true intention
Come friend and find Bread and your Water
Come hungry soul come and eat
Come thirsty soul...come today!
And meet Jesus at His mercy seat!

Come taste and see that the Lord is good
For God is a God of love
Who has forgiving power to cleanse your heart from sin
And to give you a heart now for God
Oh I'd rather have Jesus to Shepherd me
For He's the true lover of my soul
And where He leads me I will follow
For He knoweth the way to go!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
