Looking around,
It's so dark,
I'm lost.
I sit down,
Hoping to be found.
But I never have such good luck.
I hear strange sounds.
They're coming from the trees...
The sounds are weird...
And scary.
I see things I'm not supposed to see,
I see things no one else can.
They're always watching me,
Waiting for the next mistake.
That's not gonna happen!
I stand up and walk forward,
Head held high,
Me standing tall,
Till I come across another wall,
That I have to climb over...
I will never be lost again!
An obsessive picture given with great skill of psychology....a true image of certain situation is penned down....well done

Hi Ella - I am honoured to be the first to comment on this very emotive poem - it's beautiful! For structure and content I open the score wit a MAX - TEN. Verses One to Five really scared me coming from someone with their whole life before them. Lost - in despair - hallucinating - hearing voices - seeing spectres - accusers - WOW what a desparate scenario. Then the lovely turning point (V 6) THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN.! - AWESOME! I love the resolve and 'Power of Positive Thinking' in V 7 'Stand - Walk - head held high' Hey Ella - when you come to the next wall in life - you will jump over it! Thanks for the last line 'I will never be lost again! ' We are all with you. Love you in poetry - JOHN
