Lost Love Poem by Lil Sutton

Lost Love

Love slowly dying, heart turning cold.
Angel has lost her wings, sun has lost its warmth.
Shallow breaths of life barley worth my while.
Outstretched hands lose their grip and I slip away.

The tears fall from my eyes like petals falling from a dying flower.
The devil whispered false promises that were so luring.
Promises that were not to be kept.
The red of anger the blue of sorrow rages through my body.

Feeling lost, no where to turn.
Tear out my heart and let it burn.
Leave me here.
Leave me alone.
