Lost Souls In Purgatory Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Lost Souls In Purgatory

They are the poor souls
Dwelling in purgatory
Waiting for heaven's sake
For a prayer or two hundred

They see yet don't see
Blinded by fire's light
Cain's cane in frozen hand
Stumbling towards the Light

They hear yet don't hear
Silent prayers for health and safety
Guiding them to Heaven's ascent
Whispered day in and night out

They feel yet don't feel
Heart-felt love from kindred spirits
Blissfully lost in earth's paradise
Patiently and humanely waiting to reunite
