A reflection of the self
as it wanders, illuminates a shelf
in which we cram the emotions we feel
Felt and seen its faces in many places
Bruises cajoling the reality of existence
Life stifles and steers as we live on love
Is love the release of passion
in the heat of carnal drips with hidden cost
price tag of demand and burden transferred
Traces of cream at best of times
supped in the spring of life in tomes
savored beauty with gusto and girth
Is love the urge which burn satisfaction to tinder
stroking the heat to keep entrapment aflame
obliging friends to pay for favors shared
Life seeks greater ends than we see
Wealth, fortune, fame and affection may flee
from one lover or punter to the next but love remains
