A heart seeks for another heart
that palpitates the way same,
while Change comes as an intruder
deeming Love one of its game…
O love not for benefit, dear,
which is test'd by tricks of time.
We have to find a new balance
for th' ceaselessly crying Love.

A synonym of palpitates, palpates, may suit you better. I DON'T BELIEVE I CAN FIGURE THIS POEM OUT. Of course i'm not expert when it comes to love! ! Bri :)
