Love Beneath A Streetlamp Poem by Henry Thomas

Love Beneath A Streetlamp

we stood together in the cold,
holding one another beneath a streetlamp,
the lamp's dim light covering us
as I pressed my lips to her neck.
and we stood like this for a while,
enjoying one another in the two AM silence,
then fell onto the nature strip and kissed
as the morning fog closed in around us.

you're poem is romantic... hope it's true... the idea seems so surreal.
