Love Dream Poem by dave lessard

Love Dream

Rating: 5.0

Like a dream, you're gone
like a feather in the wind
no more the same old song
it's come unto its end.
Love can rise so fast
and fall like weighted lead
sometimes love don't last
and like us, it just lies dead.
It was pleasure, for a while
all things you said to me
you made me laugh and smile
and then... you let me be.
It's hard to hold a dream
they tend to just disappear
they're never what they seem
they're hardly there nor here.
Bid our love goodbye my sweet
it was never meant to be
we weren't meant to meet
once blind, we now can see.
