Petals crimson
Crowning the red rose
Were bands for the parting kiss
With which you left my praise
Used it to burn the bridge between bliss
And the fire in my heart
Though we stood
Laughing beneath skies breaking
Even thought I showed you the path to hell
The only one worth taking
One day your smile simply faded
And your gaze went awry
It turned towards the sunset
Toward night jaded
The shifting winds carry the petals
As they part you from my touch
The whirls of texture dictating your shape
And the bitter memory you left as such
No, I can't feel the fire again
My flint was overused
No I can't repent the shadows
Of memories and enigmas
And I can't curse transiency of time
Anymore
I'm love faded
Too many times was I left alone
I've counted the days in between
Far too many times
I'm love forbidden
I've written my oath on the stone
I'll regain the lost gleam
But I'll never love and never loose
So I have nothing to redeem
Today it seems your smile
And it's absence, left my eyes empty
That their gleam faded
Just like the echo of your laughter
But the petals, they still rain
And the vistas make you seem so earnest
But I know your smile
Deliberate to amplify the pain
When you broke my heart
Never for it to heal
I'm love faded
Too many times was I left alone
I've counted the days in between
Far too many times
I'm love forbidden
I've written my oath on the stone
I'll regain the lost gleam
But I'll never love and never loose
So I have nothing to redeem
