Love Has No Color Poem by Leslie Alexis

Love Has No Color

My fellow human being

What does religion have to do with love?

Haven’t we been isolated and secluded enough?

AHH! I do think so…

I guess, the rich too, can’t love the poor.

And love is a thing of the sight

So then The black cannot love the white.

But love is a Godly thing.

My fellow child of God

Does not God love all the same,

Jew and gentile?

So why do you refuse my smile?
