Love Is Breaking My Heart - Poem by Devan Rhodes

Walk fast gotta walk fast
cause I'm loving you
and love is breaking my heart.
I gotta close the door.
Cause if you wanted to love me.
You wouldn't leave me wanting more.
If your gonna make a dog out of me.
I'll not be part of your plan.
Cause love is breaking my heart.
I was feeling it.
You moving your body.
My heart growing close to you.
You seemed into it.
Now love is breaking my heart.
You were on my mind.
I wanted to see you.
You know the game.
You made the rules.
Now love is breaking my heart.
You are what I prayed for.
Your love is what I stayed for.
Now I'm lonely again.
Love is breaking my heart.
Whispering another line.
What I'd do for just one kiss.
I'd have followed you to the edge of life.
But now your shameless heart isn't true.
I know your every move is cruel.
I don't know where to start.
There's nothing you won't do.
I's tearing me apart.
Love is breaking my heart.
I gave you every ounce of my love.
And I lost tomorrow.
Was I too good to you?
You don't know how to feed and protect my love.
So open up to where you belong.
Tell me was I too good to you?
Cause love has broken my heart.
And now I'm over you.
