Love Is Suicide Poem by Daniel Parker

Love Is Suicide

Rating: 5.0

The gun I have is loaded, it points towards my head,
It seems my life has only lost its cause,
Why go on with living? My dreams are all but dead,
But then I think of you, my motions pause,
The thoughts of you engulf me, your eyes, your laugh, your smile,
But then I wonder where it all went wrong,
I’d give my all, give anything, to hold you for a while,
With you my heart truly does belong,

My life, it now seems pointless, no hopes remain, no dreams,
With you my meaning left, it’s gone for good,
Now I’ve lost your loving, my life’s torn at the seams,
You said move on, you really think I could?
This love will last forever, the first words that we spoke,
It seems the things you said were but a lie,
I’d think of you and only you, each time that I woke,
Ironic, you’re the thought now I that die.
