Love Of A Mother Poem by Randy McClave

Love Of A Mother

I don't know if my mother ever smoked or drank
But, if she ever did I never knew it,
But, if I tried she then would smack and then spank
She wasn't afraid at all to discipline and hit.
I don't know if my mom had any or many friends
Because, she was always with me,
Especially together on the weekends
There was no better mother I believe than she.
I don't know if my mom was really religious
But, she always took me to church and Sunday school,
I always felt special and very prestigious
That's where I saw and learned to live by the golden rule.
I know that whenever I was in pain or did hurt
My mother was always there at my side,
And from me she would never ignore or desert
And from me she would never runaway or hide.
My mother would always, always put me first
Especially in front of any other man,
Even if they were angry and even if they cursed
I was always first in moms every single plan.
I still remember every Friday and Saturday night
Mom and me would play games or watch television,
Never would we argue and or never fight
Between us, there was never no other person or division.
My mother did without, so that I could have more
As what any other loving mother would unthinkingly do,
We weren't rich and we weren't really poor
And unto me, she would always say, "I Love You"!
If I would ever write the, "Love Of A Mother", Thesis
This is what I would write knowing it's more truthful than any other,
The only love that could ever come close to the love of Jesus
Would be that, of the love of a mother.
