Love Pledged Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Love Pledged

Was under an apple tree in full blossom
Where we sat pledging our love everlasting
Vowing to be faithful, compassionate lovers
Soulmates together on life's journey to the end
Supporting and rejoicing in each other company
Sharing both the highs and lows of friendship
Battling through purple storms that howl the soul.
It was a bright summer day with gentle breeze
Birds chirping sweetly chorusing our love.
Your eyes bright, lips inviting, our desires racing
My heart overwhelmed with your charm and beauty
Time seemed paused and so unimportant
When for the first time we stripped each other naked
Made love, and was intoxicated by waves of pleasure.
