Love transmogrifies being & matter:
From the erotic union of rain
And earth to the fecundity of fire;
From the green fusion of flowers & plants
To simple romances of rock pools & shells;
From love affairs of chemicals & stars
To corresponding human realms: where things
Get decidedly more rarefied & complex.
