Love’s Forbidden Path - Poem by Asif Andalib

My life is now like a hell
Because of you, sweetheart
You have set my heart on fire
But you don’t care to extinguish it!

Now-a-days you kill me bit by bit
With sharp weapons of insult
Every time we meet!

My fault is I don’t dare
To walk on love’s forbidden path
Although I’m in love with you
And your love is loud and clear.
