Love That Will Last Forever Poem by Melissa Patty

Love That Will Last Forever

Mum I wish I could have took your pain
For all that agony that you went through
To the constant fight in battle
I've never known anyone to be as strong as you
You took life in your stride
Whenever your body felt weak
Your heart remained strong as ever
As you smiled through the days that were bleak
I wish I could rewind the clock
To the happy times we shared
Your love could not be measured
For you always made sure we were truly cared
A fighter you were
Until your heart couldn't take the pain
If I had one wish in the world
Would be to have my beautiful mum in my arms once again
You lay there so peaceful
In a beautiful yet deepest sleep
Heaven couldn't wait for you enter
Losing the most important woman in my life is the tears I painfully weep
As I stood near the bed
All I wanted was you eyes to open wide
Knowing you weren't going to ever wake from your sleep
Was agony that burned deep inside
MumI want you to always know
Your memory remains a special place in my heart
Our world's may be separated
But you will forever will shine in my life no matter if our heart's are so far apart
