Love You - Poem by Reggie fambro mcclain III

There was a girl I once knew.
She looked just like you.
She protected me with everything we went through.
Every day we talked about this and that.
But, she never talked smack
She was so nice I wish she was always there.
Thinking about her ever where.

We would write notes everyday.
I would never get them taken away.
Some had poems and some had pictures.
They all where lovely to me and her.
We knew each other for a very long time.
Her smile keeps me warm inside
But, everyday I would wonder.
If she felt like I felt
If she cared like I cared.
I wonder if she loves me.
I think I love her?
I’m not sure
Her signs there hard to follow.
Dose she know I would die for her steal for her even lie for her.
I wouldn’t tell a friend all they do is make it worse.
I am confused. I love her but dose she love me.
This is a big crazy dream. A dream that will come true.
She dose love me.
I do love her
Now please leave use alone and let us be free.

This is a story poem. I like story poems. At the beginning and at the end
it was a little confusing about who was being addressed by this poem.
The request to be left alone at the end seems to indicate that it was a girlfriend
of sorts. I am not sure. Whoever it was, was not needed anymore. It was
    a nice ending.

Didn't Naomi Wolf say 'When the gap is closed, the lover embraces only his own disillusion.' But you didn't embrace it, huh? You questioned and got the truth. Nice poem.
