Lucy Ashton's Song In Latin Poem by Geoffrey plowden

Lucy Ashton's Song In Latin

Formae gaudia neglegas venustae;
reges arma parent: piger quiescas;
non sunt pocula, cum micant, bibenda;
plebs non eloquio tuo docenda est;
clausis auribus omne temne carmen;
a fulvo digitos tene metallo:
qui vultumque hebes es, manusque, corque,
sit mollis tibi vita, morsque lenis.
