Lute And Tea Calm Our Minds Poem by Luo Zhihai

Lute And Tea Calm Our Minds

Lute And Tea Calm Our Minds

Play lute at dawn
between fingers
flow the village rhymes

In the dream
float the chrysanthemum fragrance
taste tea at the deep night

Free from vulgarity
mountains and waters calm our minds
eliminate our grieves

Behave properly to improve my character
poems and books
are soul-stirring

Note: first and second sentences by Luo Zhihai.
Third and fourth sentences by Qian Yongde.
