Maddness Poem by Elizabeth Jacqueline Mpanga

Maddness

Indeed love has captured our hearts in a bow of wishful thinking
Thoughts of what could be cascading in valleys of passion
Such emotion, it takes your breath away
Makes everything seem all so meaningless
Riddled with longing my heart throbs painfuly with so much wanting
Is one to let go and throw cautioon to the wind?
Alas the consequences of this love are so damning
Yet the heart wants what it wants
Yearning for a love so dangerous to even think of
My heart tingles at the thought of you,
And explodes into melodies of longing,
Oh how i long to touch you once more
Just to feel your heat in my hands,
Longing to hold you once again,
press my lips against yours and taste your warmth
stare in your eyes and see you bear your longings and misgivings
This is pure maddness........
