Madness Poem by Panagiota Romios

Madness

Rating: 5.0

We all cry for peace and sanity.
In a world fill of blame, finger pointing
and bigotry.
Each of us donning a golden halo with glee!
Telling ourselves with false pride:
"Well, at least that does not apply
to me! "

We, the archangels of poetry, our shiny
trophies in hand might heed
Nietzsche'ssaying.
Perhaps it is ourselves we are
portraying?

" Madness is rare in indiduals.....
 But in groups, parties, nations,
 and ages, , , , , it is the rule! "

       ~Friedrich Nietzsche~

Inspired by happenings in the Middle East...for some reason.
And world leaders in denial.

It is unfortunate how we look the other way when the atrocities been committed is not against us or our friends. Falsehood and negative alliances will contribute greatly to the destruction of humanity. Thank for your bold writing

I think it is our responsibility to be bold. Not all agree with me. How else can we remain humane when we pretend evil does not exist? Thank you.
