I don't know where to start
To save the world
But I do know
We have a problem.
People don't live anymore.
People don't care anymore.
Haste and waste are the name of the game.
We have a problem.
Our youth would rather live in virtual reality
Than face the challenges of life.
We have a problem.
Happiness has a price tag.
Nature is destroyed.
Camouflaged symptoms are synonymous with health.
We have a problem.
And the world’s leaders
Go on about crises
And conceal the real issues at hand.
We have a problem.
A brave few
Challenge society
Speak out
Fulfil their dues.
Perhaps if we listened
Perhaps if we learned
To take a stand together
To save this planet,
Inherited but not earned.
We have a solution.

A fine and lofty verse, well articulated and nicely crafted in persuasive expressions with conviction. An insightful work of art set aside for sober reflection. Thanks for sharing, Maja.
