Make You Prisoner Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Make You Prisoner

Rating: 5.0

I happily smile
When relaxing in bed for a while
It was great pleasure to look back
When everything seemed to be at stake

Dark days were taking heavy toll
I had to make hard living with call
No help was forthcoming
There were no hands for welcoming

I struggled hard like donkey
It was not at all for money
I waned to live with honor
As human, in a manner and not to be called miser

People will kick me with harsh words
I used to feel pity with their utterances
“What do these people think of” I felt no shame
Tomorrow may certainly shine for me to claim

I knew almighty was not heartless
He will certainly bring happiness
Today was in my hand to sweat more
I struggled and watched world keenly therefore

I was not made out of steel
Yet had heart of stealth metal
It could absorb any kind of shocks
I had bolted heart by permanent lock

I will not allow my past to take over
Take me back to sorrowful shelter
Today I am able to provide homeless a cover
It is needed for them to live as human for ever

“Glorious or dark” past is always past
Do not live the life with mask
It may take you no where
Only pass bitterness may make you prisoner
