സ്ലേറ്റുകളുടെ വംശം
അന്യം നിന്നു പോയിട്ടും
പാവം മഷിത്തണ്ട് ഇന്നും
പള്ളിക്കൂടത്തിലേക്കുള്ള
വഴി ചോദിച്ച്
ഇടവഴിയിൽ പരുങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്നു.

അന്യം നിന്നു പോയ ജീവിതങ്ങൾ
സ്ലേറ്റുകളുടെ വംശം
അന്യം നിന്നു പോയിട്ടും
പാവം മഷിത്തണ്ട് ഇന്നും
പള്ളിക്കൂടത്തിലേക്കുള്ള
വഴി ചോദിച്ചു ഇടവഴിയിൽ
പരുങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്നു.
the intestate life ......................... although the slates are intestate, even today poor peperomia, asking the way to school, stands embarrassed in the alley.
ലോകം പുതുമകളിൽ മയങ്ങി പഴയതിനെ തഴയുമ്പോഴും പഴയതു അതിന്റേതായ തനിമയെ നിലനിർത്തി പോകുന്നു പല മനസ്സുകളിലും വര്ണാഭമായിട്ടുതന്നെ... അപ്പോൾ പാവം മഷിത്തണ്ടിനെ മറക്കുന്നതെങ്ങിനെ? മനോഹരമായിരിക്കുന്നു ഈ കവിത! 10/10

ഇല്ല ഉണ്ണി സാബ്! മഷിത്തണ്ട് ഒരിക്കലും അനാഥയാവില്ല. ആ പേരില്‍ നമുക്കിപ്പോള്‍ നല്ല ഒരു മലയാളം വെബ് നിഘണ്ടുവുണ്ടല്ലൊ! ഈ ചെറുകവിത മനോഹരമായിരിക്കുന്നു. (൧൦)
