To be bullish or to be sheepish,
Cry out loud when you have hope;
For, Mama Africa has a story for you.
Mamaaa! Mamaaa! !
Cried the beloved child of Africa to the human race;
Pussy-footy as it may sound,
Africa is the most beautiful continent among the lot.
Mama Africa!
Here's the horse-walk status for you to wear the crown;
Mamaaa! Mamaaa! !
The jungle are crying out for poeoples of the world to visit us.
From Cape Town to Cairo,
From Daker to Mogadishu;
The birds and the animals are waiting for you to greet them;
Yes, Mama Africa will surely show you her beauty when you do visit.
From Rabat to Tananarive,
From Windhoek to Benghazi;
And with the foot-prints of Mama Africa to reach out to the world!
Oh, Mama Africa my beloved mother.
Mama Africa is the land of the Blacks to sing a song like the lovely birds;
With true love and praises from the beautiful Sun!
For, the heat is shared by all of us,
And, we will praise Mama Africa all the time.
Mama Africa! !
Praise the living birds and the echoes of the forest;
And, salute the natural resources of this continent,
For, Mama Africa will always be respected by all.
Mamaaa! Mamaaa! !
Cried the beloved child of Africa to hold on an identity;
For this homeland is all that we have and,
I am proud to be part of it.
