Mama's Boy Poem by Dorsey Baker

Mama's Boy

No easy street
no bed of roses
no rainbow after the rain
nothing helps the pain
you have leaned to face the music
now you can play it by ear
"Lil Ophan Annie
is just another foster child
trying to make a house a home
you know what loneliness feels like
and you'll fight until the death
just to keep from being alone
Its a bloody war
when you are fighting against yourself
and its a war you can never win
its a dirty war
the one that you are in
fighting against yourself
you can never win!
