I knew the moment we met
You were the man for my daughter to wed
Charismatic and intelligent
A man of integrity and soul mate for her

Most mothers would not agree
With their daughter's choices, in a mate
But I am not one of them, you see
I knew immediately what would be

There was no question of the love I saw
Between the two of you, nothing was lost
The spark in your eyes without a doubt
Was with my daughter to live out your life

Now the two of you are living a dream
Filled with commitment, as it should be
I have no concerns in the love I see
Between my daughter and this amazing man

A wonderful Husband and Father, you are
Meets all my expectations of a Son-in-Law
I gave you a princess to protect and love
And God blessed me with another Son
