Man: Unus Verus Deus Poem by Clesec Swahn

Man: Unus Verus Deus

Once many years ago
I traveled a road that many know
And yes there was a man who lied
He bluntly told me God had died
'Then why do they look for him? ' I said
Because they all have lost their heads
I took my leave then and searched anew
But where he went no one knew
Each wise man had a different theory
But all there stories just made me weary
I lifted my my eyes up to the sky
And cried out loudly 'just tell me why'
At first I was met with naught but silence
But then there came a voice of guidance
A shepherd stood there by my side
He smiled sweetly and then he sighed
Son the problem you face is simply this
There is no God in that vast abyss
The vengeful and merciful creator you seek
Is here with you among the weak
Then he shouted 'Don't you see?
The God you seek is in you and me'
