Many Have Chosen To Ignore Poem by Francis Duggan

Many Have Chosen To Ignore

Those who do not believe on climate change do not believe there was an ice age
And they ignore the warning that global warming is at an advanced stage
Due to our bad environmental practsices we have brought on drying out of Planet Earth by thousands
of years
The descendants of climate change deniers may yet regret the ignorance of their forbearers in tears
The burning of fossil fuels and carbon emissions for far too long out of control
On the Planet that feeds us this is taking it's toll
The Polar ice caps are melting as sea levels rise
Despite our many achievements us human beings in some of our ways are not very wise
Mother Earth she is suffering due to human greed
And of climate change deniers humanity is not in need
Global warming taking it'stoll from north to southern shore
And the dire consequences of this by climate scientists many have chosen to ignore
The fact is Mother Earth will survive climate change since fact never lie
But us humans as a species may very well die.
