Marginally Content Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Marginally Content

Rating: 5.0

Sufficiently alone, marginally content,
I never try to figure out if I’m happy
Or where love went.

Attempts to retrace a former kiss
Are as pointless as searching for a past life
That your karma has slightly revealed
In a disturbing dream.

Letting go can be difficult or impossible,
But going backwards is like sealing
Your own eternal coffin.

Abandoned relationships
Weave a melancholy loneliness
Into everybody’s life.
