Marriage Poem by mmm nababana

Marriage

Rating: 4.5

I understand the fear
and feel it too
that sits at the table
between me and you
So I hint at much and
Say so much less
Both of us waiting
for the other to confess

Marriage should be seen as social contract between couples who have decided to build bridges that unite and not barriers that divide. There's nothing to fear in making the commitment, if love is indeed the bedrock of the union. I like the articulation, insight and penning of the poem. A nice piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing. A poem describing unexpected fears of conjugal life, a sad story of today's society.
