Like those lips so soft
heart so warm and
inhibitions doffed
There's matrimony
when rock to flesh
finds comfort stony
Defile mine all mine
expect support
let rancor recline
And white's purity
defines its stay
through maturity
Allowing for change
from time to time
in no way feels strange
As sudden burning
lifts from sleep life
that limes contouring
Then without a sound
picks up all that's
madly set aground
Lifting it aloft
to move ahead
presses lips so soft
Should it be declared
marriage is good
let feelings be spared?
Yes, marriage is not merely good, it is sacred and lovely where the union of two hearts happen! But it is not smooth sailing! Sometimes the journey together can become so turbulent. But the love and support we get from our partner holds the vessel in tact and saves it from getting crashed on the rocks and shoals of life! Love this poem!
Valsa, you are right on! At first I think there is an optimism based in a naivete. Later on that optimism finds rooting in a sharing and love. Thank you so much.
Marriage is good because it helps the person to unite and procreation goes on. A beautiful poem on marriage has been posted by you hauntingly.
Marriages are necessary for keeping the family as unit of the society. Where individuals become an unit of the society, the society becomes a Jungle. Great poem!
Thank you, Akhtar. Indeed, we need an anchor. I realise that more and more. In the earlier part of life we seem to be more content as the ship sailing at the whim of the elements....

Hi Bri, Thanks for stopping by...hope you aren't too baffled....would be a crime to be baffled by marriage.
