Matters Greek

Complex Kyrgios being in the news,
and the g being silent,
Kyrie is Greek for Lord (The not a) .

Dyo is two, di is twice.
A stichos is a line.
A mouse is a mys.

An oikos is a house.
Having its sexes living in separate 'houses',
the human is a dioecious species.

The plural of thesis is theses;
they're from the root of 'tithenai',
meaning to put and to set.

A distich is a couplet.
